I know there is a few posts knocking around about this but there doesn't seem a definitive answer. What are the best discs/pads set up for a octavia vrs. It seems like the ferrodo ds2500 seem to be the pads but what about the discs Brembo do some max discs which are slightly grooved but I think only for the front. I would like to do both front and rears so a manufacturer who does discs for both would be needed. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated (and suppliers telephone numbers).

PS Are the rears a pig to change (got the winding tool - spanner for angle grinder discs works !) but do the rear wheel bearings sit inside the discs ? (only ever worked on a mkII gti VAG car)

Take a look on www.motorsportworld.co.uk

They list various manufacturers for F&R discs for the RS (Black Diamond, EBC, Red Dot etc)

Shop around for the best price though, don't order from then unless they have the best deal

Demon Tweeks give Briskoda members a decent discount IIRC, check out the companies forum for details.

EBC or BlackDiamond seem to be the choice. Discounts forum: see Sejoc for custom supply of EBC material, DT do sell the black diamond discs.

Thus far I know both EBC and BD do a wonderfull job with the ferodo pads.
