Not sure how many of you have actually lived with leather car seats before - but a word of warning in the summer/any hot days if your going into it with your work shirt on be prepared to take a spare as you'll stick to it like cling film.

Do any of you wear your leather coats mid summer....

Lived with them for years now and wouldnt be without them tbh, yes they get hot in the summer but if thats your biggest worry apposed to cleaning, wear, style then thats pretty good.

and most of the skoda range have air conditioning now which doesnt take long to cool you down again!

The other thing is when you have a car with 100k leather does start to look like its much more worn than the equivalent cloth.

Also you slide more with leather over fabric as the coefficient of friction is higher for cloth as it is for leather.

In all my years Ive never had dirty seats be it leather or cloth - so a non event for me.

Style - have you seen the bucket seats in the Leon Cupra 240bhp?? cloth and style.

My leather has 100k fat ars3 miles and looks not too bad, but i agree if it's not looked after can look shabby as the miles knock on!

im actually wetting my scants for monday!!

ma car is getting black with silver inserts and silver stitching.

And i got the 3 month notice super special price!!!!!!!

lets just say, well under 700 all in ;-)

Out of interest , how much do they charge for an octavia?

Very nice, love the rear doorcards.

Ah, I notice Welshy has had cause to criticise again......

He clearly hasn't been in a standard vRS then OR noticed any of the threads regarding them going fluffy on the drivers bolster. His trolling abilities are fading... :D

The standard vRS seats are neither particularly stylish or practical being white cloth with black inserts.

They look tatty after a few years as they go fluffy in certain places and ripple up too. Yes, after having the leather fitted I have noticed a drop in grip between the seat and my bottom but it's not that bad, and the vRS can't corner fast enough for it to be an issue anyway.

After a few hot days the seats get no hotter than the equivalent cloth versions and being perforated leather I don't sweat any more than before.

I certainly wouldn't go back to cloth in the vRS.....no way.

If sweating is such an issue for you then perhaps some weight loss or antiperspirant is in order?
