Two questions RE Fuses/Relays

Featured Replies

Evenin' all :)

Does anyone know if the Octavia has any other fuse boxes other than the main (end of dash) and possibly the odd fuse on top of the battery (there may not be any there)? I'm thinking there may be some under the scuttle on the O/S below a black pannel but I can't remember exactly what is under there.

And second, behind the air box, to the left of the N/S/F strut top there is a plastic cover over some wiring, then to the left of that there is a plastic box which contains two relays - does anyone know what they are for?

Thanks :D

There are no fuses under the scuttle that I am aware of. IIRC under there, you have the ECU, Wiper mechanism, and pollen filter.

One of those relays is the power supply for the ECU.

Thanks. There is a black plate on the far left (O/S) held down by two 10mm nuts... I thought (hoped!) there might be some fuses under that :(

The fuses on top of the battery (depending on model and not including taxi), viewed from right to left in the picture below, are:

1a - ABS 1: pump - 30A

2a - ABS 2: valve - 30A

3a - Radiator stage 1 - 30A

1 - Glow plug heater - 50A

- Secondary air pump relay - 50A

2 - Engine management - 50A

3 - Radiator fan stage 2 - 40A

4 - Main fuse for interior - 110A

5 - Alternator - 110A/150A - depending on engine and equipment.

There are some fuses on the relay plate under the drivers side undertray inside the car, also there are a couple with the fuel pump and secondary air pump relay in the holder on the bulk head behind the airbox.
