Yep, Not too sure what there normally written as, would a ZX21 DSII be correct ?

Only had it out for the first time last Sunday...bit of a disaster, mainly due to being new, not shakendown and ran on fairly rough terrain.

3 different wheels came off :) , Had some issues starting it, still very tight. Then starter box would loose charge (due to engine not starting). Made adjustments to the downstops (left it too bloody low so front catching when landing off most bumbs). Really trying to get my head around it all.

@ Pembo, any tips ? Shock Oil weighting etc etc

I don't have vids from the weekend but this shows my mates Red Top & Silver sides Crono in action a few weeks ago....slightly longer wheel base.

Tight engines: whack a load of 3 in 1 oil in there. Loosens it up and makes it smell nice too :D If its still tight take a hair drier (or blow torch if you have one handy) and gently warm the engine up before starting. Also ensure the engine is not at top dead center (TDC) when you stall it, because when it cools you will know about it! ;)

Also, loosen the glo plug 1/2 a turn to reduce the compression to make it easier to start - but remember to tighten it once you have it started as it can leave a nasty bruse on ones head :o (as I found out to my expense once)

What % fuel and brand you running with the engine? Might be worth re shimming the engine if its different from the standard fuel for that engine

Ive (hopefully) attached a file or two with set up help that Ive written to help you

Ill try and make you a set up guide tomorrow but it will be for an electric tourer as Ive already started it :P Principal is much the same though

The engine was run in on the bench before hand, a mate done it.

Try adding one thin shim to the head. Youll loose a wee bit of compression and grunt but it will turn over easier and might be benificial to you.

Well tried starting it during the week and wrecked the 2 starter box motors. I hadn't spares so took it to a mates to get going. I think the problem was the tick over was set too rich, it would start, flood itself then wouldn't start. We reduced the tickover, started it, adjusted, ran it for a while then it started no problems over the weekend.

See the link for the 1st National 1:8 Buggy Round held in Galway last Sunday. It started off a dry day but it ended up a mud bath :D , the handling was way better :)

Nice one:thumbup: Youve reminded me to get that set up guide written out too

Im at work at the moment and pricing up a nova rossi for my savage:D All because the carb is broke and I cant be **** paying

A few of the lads sent me on the following link, Off-Road Tuning

May come in useful.

Ya must have money to burn :P

That link looks good mate:thumbup: The one I was making tells exactly how to do camber, castor, tweak, toe and the rest in the right order and in the right way, just that most set up guide say stuff like "run more toe for more grip & stability" but doesnt tell you exactly the steps to do it. Ill get onto it later on:rofl:

Still, looks spot on. Just managed to get the carb off the savage so mightnt buy a novarossi now:(
