I nearly got my new car today !

Featured Replies

But it was delivered to my office with paint scratches on the front wheel arch so it had to go back to the dealer. I was so looking forward to driving it (L&K PDi140 DSG estate), now I will have to wait a week while their body shop sorts the paint. Why are dealers so careless ? It looked really nice in storm blue with light grey leather seats - SIGH !

That's a shame :( Hope you get it back all nice and shiny soon !

That must be gutting, so near yet sofar.

Hope they can sort it quickly for you.

I would check every inch of your car if it is going into a bodyshop because from personal experience your car can come back with more scratches than it went in with, or the body panels not aligning properly. Also inspect the quality of the paint finish.

and make sure it is still covered by full paint waranty and corrosion warranty

Oh dear :(

Make sure you know *exactly* what they're intending to do about the problem, so it doesn't end up worse, you get some new issues when the car arrives back again.

Did you get photos or anything of the damage earlier?

Finally they said that they would get a driver to deliver my car after they took another to an auction. In other words they were happy to make the purchaser of a brand new
