What I can't understand for those of you who put the VXR down, why did you bother getting into it in the first place to test it? Judging by your negativity towards them from here, surely your minds were already made up?

Well from my point of view, I had an open mind before I got in one. But as you can tell, you know the results after getting out of one.

Naturally, that's why i bought one.

At the end of the day everyone has there own personal choice on what they buy. Otherwise we'd all have the same.

But the vectra still goes round corners like bambi on ice :D;):P

And as long as you don't mind getting admiring views from pensioners driving the A4 then you're doing alright:thumbup:

At least A4s get admiring views. ;)

Admiring views of the A4 drivers Farrah trousers with matching driving gloves as he goes 25% quicker round the B4489.

The A4 and the Vectra are both gay. Mondeo is the best - TG said so ;)

HTH :D

Chris

You mean the MUNDANEO?

TG only rated it as Jeremy licks Fords A$$, remember his Ford GT and all the breakdowns it had, he soon got rid of it as you should of your Mundaneo. And I thought the A4 was bland, the Mundaneo turns people to granite it's so dull.

That's very true - I am indeed made of granite

Chris

Mundano? Sums up the people who buy it IMHO - mun

LOL Pot calling kettle black

Quite right, although I don't drive a mundano I am indeed ordinary and unoriginal.

HTH

Actually I would stoop to say I would actually prefer the A4 over the Mundaneo if I had a choice between the two.

Then sell the A4 at an OAP home as a taxi.

Sorry that was aimed at the vectra driver.

Nope, I'd rather have the Mundano over the A4. I find A4s to be rather leaden and uninvolving to drive, with the exception of the RS range. As for the others well; I think of Passats as being driven by Fritz your friendly photocopier engineer and the A4 as being driven by his area manager.

I actually like Audi's generally, but the A4 s-line seem's to be devoid of any individuality.

I'm not having a go at anyone here, this is my honest opinion.

Looked at one in an Audi showroom a year ago, all gloss and no content. Sat in it, played with the lumpy gearbox , gawped at the metallic playstationesque controls.

No much legroom for someone over 6ft and the armrest was ..... If I was to drive long distances in this I would expect a bit of room.

Unfortunately Audi like a lot of other major manufacturers think up a stupid name, stick a badge on the grill and slap

You can't compare and SE A4 to a VXR. At least compare like the like.... lol

Your right you get far more BHP for your money with the VXR

i was looking at the vectra vxr,i'd have one(and i can't drive properly either)as long as someone else took the deprieciatio hit first, looks a nice car inside and out, would definatly drive one:thumbup:

I'd much rather have the Corsa VXR 888 :D

i like those too:thumbup:

I've driven the astra vxr,it was ok but nothing special, looks nice tho,and is nice inside:D

I've yet to try one, not seen that many about either.

I'm not that keen on the interior of the Astra, it doesn't wear very well either we have one at work thats only done 65k and the drivers seat is knackered and the leather has worn off the steering wheel!

The Corsa VXR is a clever bit of kit especially the 888 version "read this months EVO"

I like the Astra VXR it does what it says on the tin, proper hot hatch looks with the pace and handling to go with it, has anyone seen the VXR at the nurburgring while on test development - awesome. Would I own one - No, I just personally prefer Q cars, like my "sort of" standard looking Bora TDI Stage 2 :D:D:D

As for the Vectra VXR, I posted a few pages back - Just read EVO they are very fair, good or bad with there long term tests and they hold the Vectra in VERY high regard.
