i did a track day a while back, i drove the whole vxr range, including the ickly mpv thing (the name escapes me) and the mighty VXR8.

the vectra, i thought did really quite well out there. i drove round thruxton in the hatch and estate and found this understeering thing to be greatly overstated. it never lost its balance and when driven properly in the hands of one of the BTCC drivers who was there doing hot laps it flew!!

the best street car is the corsa. the best overall car was the astra. the most useful would have to be the zaffy, the most fun for anoying boy racers would be the ickle mpv thing (it had the same engine as the corsa!!) , and the most scary was the vxr8. so the vectra didnt really stand out in the vxr crowd, but i do like the style of it, and i prefer the bigger car. a few mates have got the vectra sri and say they are great cars, and ive got a mate with a astra vxr who wouldnt swap it for anything less than a vxr8. so they cant be all bad lol!!
