Factory fit Bluetooth Cost

Featured Replies

I am thinking of getting the Factory fit bluetooth car kit in my new Octavia.

The car was ordered about 3-4 weeks ago with an 8-9 week delivery time.

If I still have time to get it in, Can anyone tell me how much it costs to have it factory fit in Ireland and is it any good in the Octavia II

I have the MaxiDot computer so I would like to be able to use it with that!

Alan

It's an option in the EU so may well be in Ireland so best to check with your dealer.

I've just added it to mine and thinks it's great.

I can't see it in the uk brochure. is it an option here

Not at present.

If you input the right codes at order could you not get one on a UK car?

Just thinking out loud really as it has been done with heated seats on a vRS.

Very possible Ian.

I can't find any prices for the Skoda Bluetooth Kit.

I was talking to a customer today who has the Parrot CK3200. He took me out to the car and it looks fantastic. Nice color screen. He said it was a fantastic device that full of features. Its €158.99 on the expansys website

Only thing is, I don't think it will work with the maxidot.

The Parrot kit certainly won't use the Maxidot screen to display the calls, nor use the right hand stalk for control, but, on the other hand, has better support for certain phones (eg Nokia Symbian phones like the N series).

I've seen the oem bluetooth option on the only car in the UK that has it and it's a very impressive looking piece of kit, definately one to add to the 'must have' option if you can get it ;)

hopefully it won't be the only car for long... ;)

I had my dealer come back to me today with a price for the Bluetooth Kit.

They quoted me €350.00 for the kit

She was very interested in the phone that I had. I think she is looking at putting a cadle in the car and I don't want one. I have told her this so just waiting to hear back from them.

I make that around

what parts are actually needed for retrofit Stu? Anything on your site yet? :P

DubFlyer - officially, to get the Bluetooth kit, you will also get a cradle, and a few new dash parts, which then allows you to also plug a phone into the cradle, and control the phone directly. The "Bluetooth retrofit" will add the same phone controller, but only for Bluetooth connections (although technically the cradle and bits could be bought too). The nice advantage of the "Bluetooth retrofit" will be the lack of visible changes to the car.

Obviously, where I say "Bluetooth retrofit", I probably should type the "VRStu Bluetooth retrofit" ;)

The guide is under construction Tom, I hope to have it completed ASAP.

My car is going to have the Maxidot and MF SW fitted also.

I like the idea of using it with Maxidot and pressing the buttons on the Stearing Wheel to operate the phone.

Just been on to my dealer and she has told me its to late to have it factory fit.

My fault I suppose. :(

It looks like it could be a retro bluetooth kit.

Its a shame your not based in Ireland VRStu

There will be a guide appearing soon and I'm hoping to organise a group buy for the parts.

  • 2 weeks later...

Stu, can you provide a fitting service :) must admit I don't fancy tacklingthe job myself but I would love bluetooth in my car

I'll PM you.

  • 1 month later...

Apologies in advance but I'm more than a little confused!! (That said, it is 0530hrs, I'm on my first Nightshift and I've now been up for almost 24 hours so I think I'm entitled to be a little daft)

Is there such thing as a Factory fit Bluetooth??

I read with great interest all about VRStu's GB on retro fit but I'm terrified by the prospect of taking my screwdriver anywere near my vRS (Which I will be ordering v.soon)

Much to my horror, my Mrs is about to order a Pug 207 and she can have a fully integrated Bluetooth module installed for a mere

Sadly the Bluetooth is not an option in the UK on a Skoda factory order.

The retrofit isn't as bad as it looks and there are people who can help with the install for you. There is even one dealer who now offers the retrofit as an option on new cars that they sell.
