Another BMW !!

Featured Replies

Pulled up alongside a new 325ci sport (red) at the traffic lights on Rainworth bypass. The chap in the bmw gunned it off the lights but was less than amused when I stayed side by side up to 50ish edged past after that and pulled in front of him at about 100mph in 3rd. I was laughing my head off and kept trying to grab the chaps attention in my rear view mirror but he wouldn't look. Why spend 30k on car when one half the price is not only more practicle but can beat you off the mark - Still giggling now thinking of the guys disgruntled face and how embarresed he was.

Maybe he likes drifting?

" I used to be Snow-white ....and then I drifted" Mae West perhaps she drove a BuMVee

Ah, the childish innocence that is the Traffic Light Grand Prix - admit it, we do love it ! ;)

why dont we stop persecuting bmw drivers.... many of them bought them cos they like the idea of rwd german engineering and carpark prestige..... not performance.

leave them alone.

I personally will leave them alone as soon as the ocatavia gets the recognition it deserves from them.

Would also like to point out that I've got nothing against BMW's as I'm contemplating getting the wife an X3 (when they finally decide on UK deliveries). What I do have a problem with is that normally if I have a tussle with some one (on a private road) eg impreza, civic type R etc then after we have had some fun thumbs are raised and both drivers go their seperate ways with big grins on their faces. You don't seem to get this from BMW drivers

True, but then BMW drivers are probably cringing that they havce lost as they seem to like to be better than everyone else. Don't know, but it seems to be some sort of mentality! As for an X3! Really thinking of getting one? Surely theres far better for the money. Is that going to become a Pimp mobile like the X5?

But surely there will be a car which will be half the price, more practical and faster?

Rob.

Just seen the spec for the new 5 series Touring diesel, 272hp, 412lbft torque and 0-60 of 6.6 sec.

Think this might be a beast.

just wait till its been remapped!

then it will be a rival for the merc 400cdi's that we dont get in the uk... till next year....

leave them alone.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Beemers are my favourite sport

I don't bother racing in my 1.9 BMW, Its not quick but its reliable, comfortable and has some prestige! But it is a torquey engine and pulls in every gear so i am happy.

My old man has just bought a Cupra R so i just need to convince him i need to borrow it!

I race people in my Octy though and they generally lose a few tyres in the process. Most people won't believe a) Its a Skoda and B) the Police have bought them!

Thats not really a fair race now is it.... ;)
