Yup sounds good to me.

I would have thought that they would do the fuel filter on a 40000 mile service. I have been told that VW no longer do them as part of the service and I expect that Skoda have followed suit.

They cant charge you if they dont change the spark plugs and filter.

Yes the can!

They offer a 40k service, this is this price, this includes this, if you dont need parts thats tough you pay for the 40k service not the individuel parts of it read your manuel

Seems expensive! Why not go self-service? I have and havent looked back. Kept a detailed log of all work and receipts!

Sounds about right. I was quoted circa

Got my 40k service coming up soon - If my local VW dealer isn't competitive enough, I'll probably gonna use Jabbasport...their prices seem pretty good. It'd be a bit of a trail to Manchester, but I can get brownie points of the missus if I drop her at the Arndale for a shop.

got charged just over

Would you let them charge you for washer fluid if it was full prior to servicing ?

Nope we have been told not to leave screenwash in the car since some kid decided to drink it.

Dont use it at all anymore, just top up with water.

And VW dont change petrol fuel filters and neither have Skoda since the Felicia as part of a service.
