vRS heater blower

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just been away on holiday for a week in Somerset.

Its the first time i've really spent any time in my new vRS. (love it)

Anyway, while going back and forwards in a car park trying to find a suitable park, i noticed everytime reverse was engaged, the heater blower speeded up. Is this normal or do i have a problem.

56.6 mpg on the way back up the motorway, can't be bad either, eh?

When reverse is engaged the heater switches into recirculate mode to avoid sucking in exhaust fumes. Recirc is noisier (and faster?) than normal mode. i.e. it's supposed to do that.

Yep as mentioned above perfectly normal...... Another one of the VW German boffins gadgety ideas. :D

Cheers

Dave.

Thanks bryand

I thought it might be some dodgy electrics that i've read about on the vRS's

The vRS doesn't really suffer from dodgy electrics as such. The heater flap and recirc motor can get confused but that's about it. Easily fixed.

If you want dodgy electrics, buy French or Italian. :D
