after much deliberation we have just purchased a 1.3 swift for the wife,we did a lot of research and all in kit vs price it was the cheapest by quite a bit.

A big plus point was the way it drives tho, after my skyline,scooby,fto and furby i th didn't expect to find a little 1.3 much fun at all,it has me thinking that maybe i am doing it all wrong,and should stop chasing big power and go for good cheap fun cars,cause this one is an absolute scream.

Never driven one myself, but every write up I've seen rates them be it a 1.3, 1.5 or the 1.6 Sport version....

Must admit I've always liked the look of em, sure it will be a great car to own for both of you......

Re: your comment on high power cars and fun, one of the most appealing cars out there for me at the moment is the Panda 100 HP, loads of smiles dosen't always mean big BHP !!!

Passed a Suzuki today and it looked a bit chavish with the stripes....

i was put off the Sport version , due to poor fuel consumption (and 98RON aswell) and the small size of the boot with rubbish folding down of the rear seats , otherwise it was a nice drive

would've gone for the Panda myself , but wives are not called SWMBO for nothing

As you probably read - my son bought 1.5 GLX version recently (11.5 k miles, 21 months old), feels like new, well built, looks well in silver. He is chuffed - I'm soooo glad he didn't get one with stripes.

Quite strange that a car named the "Panda" is such a hit with the blokes :confused:

ours hasn't got the **** stripes,we are now debating what wheels would look good on it,swmbo can't wait and i will be able to sleep as now she won't need my vrs:Dand as it is a second car we don't need the boot space,which is tiny,they even gave us 2 swift sport baseball caps,so i am going to simpsons soon as i have had 4 top of the range skoda's off them and they never gave me a hat
