Help Needed - Pull Up Load/Partition Net

Featured Replies

I noticed a whiel ago in the Octy 2 Brochure that Euro cars get the option of a pull up luggage net, and to put it simply, I want one! Its the one attached to the rear of the seat uprights, and lifts up to hook onto the roof, with the seats either up, or folded. I spoke to my dealer (Farmers, Leicester) and they have said they will not consider fitting it for me, but may be able to help in getting parts. Looks like I'll be going it alone then:eek: .

So, I have a few questions, particularly for our continental friends, or anyone with a Euro spec car with the item fitted.

1) How does it attach to the seat backs. Our Audi had small brackets screwed on, which the net holder slotted onto. I'm asuming its the same.

2) How are the hooks attached to the car, and are they covered in plastic trim? If anyone can get photos of this, that would really be apreciated.

3) I'm assuming that the hooks attach to the car structure at some point. Anybody had a headliner out and know if these attachment points are on UK spec Eststes? Don't fancy removing the headliner just yet.

4) As the headliner will almost certainly need holes in it, can they be cut, or is it a new liner?

I managed to get ETOS v4.2.something, covering upto 05 models, which I assume includes the octy 2, so hopefully that will have the part numbers I need. Its just working out how to fit them thats going to be the fun part.

Any pictures of any parts of the net, hooks, trim and fittings would be appreciated.

I'm planning on documanting the process, listing all parts, costs etc, in case anyine else wants to fit the upgrade, but in the mean time, any help would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks

Phil

I asked the question of SUK a few months ago, and this was their response:

I can confirm the sliding partition net is a factory fit option which Skoda UK did not take up. However, it is possible to have the sliding partition net, service installed by an approved Skoda retailer.

The approximate cost of the parts alone would be

Any update to this thread please? I'd really like one of these fitted, having seen it mentioned in the owners manual. That price is a bit steep though :( Thanks

I have this on my car(Norway) and I remember the dealer telling me I had to be ordered on a new car because it was not possible to mount later on.(Or maybe just difficult or expensive:()

In my car it is mounted on the biggest (2/3) seat upright, and to remove one just slides it to one of the sides.(Don`t remember wich)

I can not lay down the biggest(2/3) seat upright without removing the net or lay down both(1/3 +2/3) uprights.

The hooks in the ceiling is flush with the ceiling, and I have them both behind the front seats and the back seats.

Can anyone perhaps link to a guide?

Then maybe tomorrow?:o (Oh, actually later today!)

I had this on the Honda Accord I tried before I got the Octy. Seemed a good idea, but I wasn't convinced that it was very strong, and did get in the way slightly when putting the rear seats down.

I've got the metal dog guard in the Octy(
