18 days to go...

Featured Replies

Hi,

Only 18 days until I become a Skoda owner for the first time, letting go of a trusty Leon Cupra 20VT at the same time.

The Leon has been a good car, mechanically reliable and a great engine. I am hoping for more robust electrics from the "other" VAG value brand though...

The new car is the new Octavia vRS 2.0TFSI hatch in race blue with current upgrade of 18" alloys, jumbo box, dual zone climate control and rear electric windows. I've added the rear parking sensors (for the wife, honest) for a grand total of a nadge over

Welcome :)

Plenty on here for your needs :)

Hello and welcome SellySelkirk

I am sure the wait will be worth it,i moved from a Toyota to an Octy mk1 vrs and had to endure(still do) the taxi jokes, but at the moment i think i am having the last laugh.

As for advice/tips you will not find a better forum

Enjoy

Hiya.

Response to Skoda jokes from the outlaw would seem to be Sloane Ranger, Chelsea Tractor, Suburban Useless Vehicle, "off-road means 2 wheels up a kerb does it?" type comments.

Welcome to Briskoda :) You must be getting your new motor about the same time as me... absolutely itching now! Good colour choice :D

AAAAARRRGGG!

Only 4 days to go and my Leon trade-in has decided to throw a wobbly, check engine light along with four VAG-COM codes that do not point to anything in particular.

My local garage is playing "swap the expensive part" to try and find the source of the codes :(

Wish me luck!

All the best, hope you get it sorted soon :)

Bad timing that mate - hope it works out.

WHOOHOO!

Picked it up on Wednesday as planned, and the Leon made it down there in one piece (

Nice one.

Can't imagine Skoda electrics are any better or worse than Seat?

As for Skoda jokes..... I didn't think there were any people out there stuck in the 1980's:)
