Heated Seats

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm hoping to become a vRS owner in the near future, but was wondering if getting one with Heated Seats is worth waiting for??? Is it possible to get Heated Leather Seats???

Oh and I know with (dare I mention it here) the Ford Mondeo you can also set them to Cold, is this possible on the Fabia too??

Many thanks

MarkT.

The only new vRS's out there are the Ltd edition ones in blue and they have non-heated leather seats. A demonstrator or second hand vRS might be available with heated seats, and yes they are worth it IMO, especially for such a small outlay. They only heat up (5 different setting) and do not cool the seats, and you can have these with the leather. The only problem is finding one with both out there.

They're worth getting just so there's less blank switches on the dash.

Come Winter, you may want them - the diesel lump in the vRS takes AGES to get to temperature (and so you don't get any warm air in the cabin in the meantime!) I wish I'd got them for mine...

Unfortunately not and it really is needed as the leather tends to get uncomfortably hot in the summer months. Heated only is a good half way house though

Beans on toast for breakfast.

No need for heated seats.

I added leather to the heated seats in my Fabia, and find that the seat heaters are now largely redundant because by the time the heat has worked its way up through the leather, you have already warmed the seats up yourself.

Heated seats were never really that popular. When I part ex'd my 53 plate and ordered my 06 I had heated leather seats. During the winter I would have them on because the car would take ages to warm up, but it did take longer to heat up cos of the leather. I found that I would get out of the car and my back would be in terrible pain, really not good. Friends would also say the same, they loved the heat whilst sitting, but getting out of the car even on a 10-15 minute journey they would complain that there back was hurting.

It felt as if I was frying my kidneys!

Now got an 07 SE, so no heated seats, the leather is a must, as can just wipe the seats clean and as yet haven't missed the heater option!!

I ordered mine with heated seats and it was definetely worth the wait. It's not only winter they get used, I've had them on in this glorious summer we've been having too.

Was this on the lowest setting?
