From what I understand Superchips have come a long way in the VAG world of recent. I know of a few specialist and tuners who use them and have had some very good results indeed.

I hope so... I remeber the grief Jon and Colin had with superchips on 1.8T.... dire...

Steering weight:

Open the steering assist module

click recode -07

take note of the value, say 000121

change second to last digit [1-5]

so = 000151

its more work to steer but you get more feedback. Steering is more positive and less twitchy.

Controller 44, Steering Assist, Adaptation, channel 1.

Value between 2 and 5, or more likely it will be set to 3. Very stiff steering = 1, and a very light would = 5. These are changeable, so try it out and see how you like it.

That's an Audi though. I'll have a look sometime this week but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Audi only.

VRStu and GAFF:

The pointers and scales (ie needles and dials) can be forced to stay lit independent of each other and/or headlamp operation.

My Golf GTI MKV had continuous illumination fo pointers. looks cooler on start-up (poor man's Lexus floating display) and helpful in tunnels etc.

VAG is as VAG does

So we shall see if Skoda brain can be fooled.

Perhaps it was generating 200.5 BHP before and 201 after - that's why they are being cagey about printout ;)

Dumb question I suppose, but why not just put your headlights on? You get the benefit of instrument lights plus being seen better by others who might just think you are a Constabulary Q-car or something (Volvo/Saab?).

My car wont be confused for a Q car (if you've seen it in its entirety you'll know why)

I do drive around with "daylight running" lights (courtesy of switch).

But when they are off, if you turn the ignition on the needles look cool when lit up on their own.

So you don't know what the 'before' figure was?
