my seat belts all wet!

Featured Replies

dunno if this is a common problem or not, I've had my VRS for nearly a year now, and for the first time today, I got in and put my seat belt on and its all soaking wet, its the part that is inside the frame, all on its roller, I think there must be a leak inside the pillar between the front and back doors:thumbdwn:

check whether the front or rear carpets are wet , as it could just be the door panels leaking as usual

I would go with the door panels as well.

doh, never thought to check that:rofl:

i would also check the little rubber ducts that carry the wiring loom to the rear doors from the b pillar to make sure they're not split

Hello Jec,

Our skoda Fabia has the same problem with kind off wet seat belts now and then. We have this car (Fabia I from 2004) sinds june this year and uptill now have seen a lot of typical Fabia problems and are on the way of fixing them all.

So we are wondering if you found the cause of this wet seatbelt and if you were able to fix this.

Manny thanks for your reply

i had the wet seatbelt, its the rear door seal check your carpets aswell

Yes rb320 we had the rear doorseals with wet carpets as well, but they were sealed and don't leak anymore! It's something else. Maybe the little rubber ducts that carry the wiring loom to the rear doors that teflontom mentioned, but they look like new. If they leak then it's between the rubber and the metal.

Anybody who fixed this problem?

Manny thanks for your reply
