Dunlop SP Sport 9000 OR Toyo Proxos T1-R's?

Featured Replies

Not by that small margin it won't, you'll end up with huge gaps around the wheelarch, nice! :P

Not by that small margin you won't :P However, the increased circumference will mean that the speedo is 1.6% out....

Falken... Ziex ZE 512

They look similiar to the 452's.... But, would come at the correct size to fit my alloys. Anyone tried them? If they're similiar to the 452's?

The toyo is a soft tyre and good for grip, but not good for miliage. I was wondering about them as well but now i am going to get some conti sport contact's.. As for the dunlop, i havent really heard about them so i cant comment..

The Toyo T1-R is much better for mileage than the old T1-S was.

I just like the look of them that V shaped groove gives it a real sporty look.. What do ya think about Conti's SC3?

If they're anything like the SC1's and SC2's then avoid at all costs!!!

OOO whys that then?

Useless in damp/wet conditions and they have worse dry grip than the Michelin Pilot Primacy's (which are shockingly bad). They are also ludicrously expensive (130 quid a corner for mine!) and I've also heard they have a tendency to "bulge" in the sidewall, but that didn't happen to mine.

Of course, they may have fixed all the above in the SC3 :D

I can't recommend the Falken 452's highly enough.

I thought they were quite pricey, i know they grip well in the wet, but didnt know they were naf in the dry lol, dont think i will be getting any then..

I hate conti's. Pricey, wear fast and loose their grip once the tread wears down. Poo in the wet.

Goodyear Eagle F1's are the best tyre I've ever had.

I've got Dunlop SP9000's on the front of the Golf and they are frightening in the wet.

Eagle F1's are quite pricey but they'll last longer than Toyo's and give fantastic grip in all conditions. I wouldn't buy any other tyre if I had the choice (damn VX220- only Bridgestone make the correct tyre for the front)

I love my Michelin Pilot Primacy HPs - much much better than my old Dunlop SP2000Es, both in the wet and the dry. Seem to have lasted fairly well too. I'm down to 3mm after 25k miles up front.

But then I've only got 110 bhp to play with :(
