The Forge Replacement Diverter Valve.

Featured Replies

I've just fitted one of these beauties to my car, and I think that I need to share my findings with you all.

If you have a TFSI vRS, get one of these. It holds boost right up to the redline with relentless pull, and it spools a lot quicker and sooner.

The quality of the kit is outstanding, with all the bits needed for installation. (Although only just enough cable ties so be careful with them.)

All in all it was well worth doing and its got rid of the hesitation I was experiencing.

- As you would expect, another fantastic product from Forge.

All the more reason to share your experiences with us this weekend eh Harry! ;)

Seriously, there has been a detailed report on Vortex that questions this product and backs up it's claims with several data logs. I reserve judgement on it as there may well be other factors that have not been accounted for and most guys on the otherside of the pond seem to be as delighted as you are

This may or may not help you.

I mounted the solenoid on its bracket onto the DV using one of the stock bolts. If you decide to do this with yours, I would mount it such that the electrical connector is facing downwards as it puts less stress on the connector due to the length of the wires.

You will need roughly 10-15cm of tubing for both tubes that go to and from the diverter valve and the solenoid.

I ran the remainder of the tube across from the intake manifold and then down behind the turbo. I then connected that to the solenoid whilst on the floor before mounting everything to the turbo. This way, when you mount the DV to the turbo you can simply pull the slack from above the engine bay instead of fiddling about from below, as room is tight.

Nice one Harry, will have to look into one :)

got mine a few weeks ago, just waiting to fit it now!

Hi

We got them in before Forge launched them

We just about sold all 15 of them straight away and the people that had them fitted straight away was saying good things about them too ;)

Sarah

Should be fitting mine soon, time permitting.

Doesn't take long to fit if you know what you're doing.

I can't imagine I'll have anymore to say than Harry already has.

Not yet Stu, awaiting additional reports :) Looks good though :)

Forge are out of stock now and it'll be 3 weeks before I have mine.

We have them in stock

I have 4 left ;)

Sarah

Thanks Sarah but mine has to come directly from Forge.

Donning my Nomex suit here, but they are not getting a good reception in the US with this at the moment.

Anybody going to log the results on theirs?

I have only blown 1 OEM DV in 23000 miles and never had boost cut out's etc with my subtle modifications, and the car does have a fairly hard life as I hate motorways and do most of my travelling on A roads were the car get's a good work out.

I'm more concerned about oem coil packs than the dv :)

I've never had an OEM C valve go on me. It's just good to have the peace of mind that the Forge valve won't fail.

Ahhhh.... but do ya know they won't, not been around long ;)
