The Forge Replacement Diverter Valve.

Featured Replies

The problem is Tony, it's difficult to tell if you have knackerd the OEM valve unless you have a boost guage. It's one of those things where it's not a massive loss of performance but a loss none the less.

If you read the thread on the US forum, only a couple of them are getting twisty about it and that's because they are directly involved with certain companies - It will always happen.

Forge have done a lot of testing on the valve and have held off on releasing it until they were really sure of it. Obviously there is nothing like putting it out into the open world for all to test but time will tell.

If the Forge one breaks, they'll replace it - no questions.

Good point....we'll have to see

I'm sure it will be fine 'arry, they have not done a bad job yet ..... apart from the fugly intake for the tfsi :)

I was thinking of getting their intake to replace my "piece of turd" Injen intake

Just need a new fuel pump first

LOL, why a fuel pump? The new forge intake with the mandrel bent pipework looks ok, but the Filter sits to low for me, in the recent floods etc, That would have sucked up water and foobared the motor in some of the stuff I had to head through in south Wales.

And, I know the Evoms works, the chamber it creates for the filter seems to be unique across kits at the moment

I have an MY06 with the older version of the fuel pump and it seems to not cope at certain engine loads when an intake is fitted.

I'm guessing an intake makes the engine breathe better, so it needs more fuel to keep the correct air/fuel ratio?

Basically I get really bad fuel cuts from time to time.

Might interest you Harry -

I happened to have a converstaion with Kev at REVO this morning. They have a fuel pump solution in development which, if trials are successfull should hit the streets. This will be supported by REVO Software.

Thank you Stu. It's something I could really do with. Don't suppose they gave you any idea on pricing?

No nothing as yet mate.

  • 2 weeks later...

My valve arrived this morning. Looks like a quality piece of kit.

You got it fitted yet Trevor?

All too late for me :(

I "blew" 2 oem valves, and suffered - really suffered with the cutting out. Thats pretty much what took the shine off tye car for me all in all, not to mention the ridiculous rear brake pad consumption.

Give me a break. :D Still sitting on my *** here at work. Might do it at the weekend.

I still get the cutting out mate :(

Not to put a jinx on things, but my MY06 has had no fuel cut issues, pulls to the redline and "feels" like it's holding boost, luckily I have only had 1 DV blow (a rev B).

I'm running stage 2 and other nik naks, it just seems to have been coil packs on my car, but hopefully that's all resolved now.

I am still fitting the Forge DV (must phone Stu LOL) and will have some "stuff" in my bag from my trip to the US.

Even though I am not getting fuel cut's, it will be interesting to see the revo solution.

I think it's because your car isn't silver.

I must say I'm getting pretty peeved with it now as almost every trip to the redline is jerky as hell.

What's more important???? :P :D

I am going to be finished by dinner time on Friday Stu, so may have a blast over to pick some stuff up from you :) will phone you later chap.

Ok boss.

Fitted and so far no issues, did have cut out before but only very occasionally, now, nothing.

Car is now very much cured of the JKM stage 1 results...............possibly running stage 2 without issues...:)

What i meant to say was, my car is NOT running stage 2 by replacing the DV alone, but is cured of the JKM road results.....:D......so is it..
