Just wondering if anyone knows if SEAT put the 110 BHP PD engine in the mk 4 Ibiza and if so was it a 6 speed?

I've been hunting round for an Ibiza Sport 130 PD for a while and came across this on ebay tonight Seat Ibiza Sport

Now I know the title says 110 bhp but the listing info, which I think is automatically filled in based on the reg, has the car down as 128bhp. Any ideas how I can check?

I had a quick look on the DVLA vehicle checking website and they've got the car listed as a 1.4!!

SWMBO's away tomorrow so if it turns out it is a 130, I'll be going to have a look...

There isnt a 110bhp PD, 100 or 130 (130 being the sport).

I used to own a Ibiza 110 TDI Sport. Only ever available in the Mk3 & produced for about a year before the Mk4 face lift came out.

As Lummox says, it was a non PD TDI.

Don't like the red headlamp inserts, though!

The coloured headlamps were an official accessory and come in red, yellow and black iirc. They were complete headlamps.

I allways liked them alloys, they also fitted them to the Arosa 16v towards the end of its run.

Yeah I thought it looked like the 130 sport and I agree about the headlamp inserts. They'll soon be sorted if I get the car.

With regards to the 110 TDI engine. Did that come with a 6 speed box?

Just been looking on autotrader and found the car on here.

The autotrader ad has a picture of a mk 3 Ibiza though so I'm a bit confused.:confused: I'll have to give the guy a ring in the morning and try and work out what exactly he's selling!

The 110 TDI was a 5 speed 'box.

The Ibiza was nice car to drive.

The engine was nice & smooth with more responsiveness lower down due to it's smaller turbo. But ultimately the 130 PD engine is more powerful (especially when remapped ).

It handled well as standard with more stiffer suspension over lesser spec'd models.

I liked it's subtle, understated looks as well. The alloys were nice but nothing too flashy & I debadged the boot to keep people guessing!

I liked it a lot, but the Fabia is a better car for me now. It has 5 doors, which makes it easier for passengers, etc, bigger interior & slighty bigger boot.

But it's the increase of power & torque that I love the most. It puts a smile on my face every time I get I drive it!!

Car does look like the 130bhp Sport and if so will have 6 gears and I think 6 dials in the drivers console with a yellow surround (but this varied). The badge on the side is actually from a Leon Cupra R, so is definitely an add on! Headlights you have to replace the whole unit, can be expensive, but wouldbe worth coming over to SeatCupra.Net to see if anyone wanted them. It's also missing centre caps from the alloys but these are about 6quid each

I emailed the guy but he hasn't replied yet, I'll give him a ring tomorrow as I think it's worth a look at that price...

I am actually on SeatCupra.net as well but I don't think I've posted since I got the Fabia, I keep sneaking on to look at the for sale section though. I thought I might have to change the whole headlights but I'm not to worried about that if I can get the car at the right price!

I spoke to the seller earlier and he has no idea about the car, not sure if its the 130 pd or 110 engine. He says it has some history but isn't sure about the cambelt. He kept asking if I could ring him back next week and I got the impression he didn't really want to talk to me about it so I think I'll just have to look elsewhere:(
