Call Brentacre and ask for John or Ceri, tell them you want a modified policy. I pay

Just renewed my standard vrs for

Usual story for Direct Line I'm afraid. They charged me an extra

Another  for Brentacre here. I dealt with John - very helpfull guy who knew what he was talking about.

vRS SE, 2 yrs no claims, no convictions/points etc. Licence for 6 years. I'm 23.

Another vote for Chris Knott

They also proved excellent when we had to claim last year & dealt with it all very efficently & promptly

Chris Knott were more expensive on the Mondeo so I had a brief stint with Admiral (10 month accelerator policy) before giving Adrian Flux a call who slashed my premium from over

Just to update you on the hunt for cheaper car insurance.. currently with direct line and best they can do is

Same story re Direct Line with me.

Stupid price for non-standard alloys.

Atm it's a tie between Chris Knott & Sky Insurance, with Sky a nose ahead.

Will try Brentacre tomorrow.

I'm 106 years old, and have 100 years no claims, as I was protected when my car got nicked, but my car has been somewhat altered.

It's like a lottery when you have no chance of winning:(

i'm 19, 1 year no claims, been drivin 2 years. 1160 quid:( was1700 time before!!!!!!

stu.

I hope to get mine down to about

I just hope that by next April all the systems have the SEs on them, so I won't have to declare the extras.

Mine's currently about 700 with Tesco... that's with 4 years NCB and 3 points. Think I need to shop around a bit...

There are ups and downs with any insurance policy. I made a total loss claim with Admiral and my insurance is cheaper than that. Admiral are meant to be awful but they've not been too bad with my claim.

The important thing to remember is that as VRStu says, you sometimes pay for what you get, eg First year if the car is written off you get a replacement, courtesy car if written off, etc.
