Well, not quite a straight swap like I'd hoped, but after some loom chopping for the horn, I now have a nice 3 spoke "Sport" wheel with an R32 airbag. The new one is about 2" smaller (so steering feels much more precise! ), and feels much chunkier, and hasn't got the horrible indentations on the back for fingers.

That was one thing I really didn't like about the Golf! I like the "horrible" indentations

Aero rear wiper conversion kit on the way

Along with replacement front aero wipers, replacement speaker grille as one is missing, new bushes, nuts and caps for the engine cover mounts so I can refit that, new air intake (like for like replacement) as the old one is loose and vibrates against the bonnet. New badges and batteries for the 2 key fobs too, just to make them nice and new looking.

Plenty on the list to-do after that little lot though. Just trying to get it back up to mint condition throughout, whilst adding little bits on the way.

Really do want some new alloys, but what to go for? I feel a thread coming on.
