Fuel filler On Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, today the fuel flap failed to close after I filled with diesel I have had my Fabia VRS for 33months from new and this has never happened before any help would be appreciated. The car is still under warranty but my nearest Skoda dealer is over 100 miles away. Cheers the noo.....

Clip has come away from the inside. Nice easy fix

Go into boot and pull back carpet on right hand side away from the plastic. Behind there you will find the cable going to the fuel filler cap (from the handle by the driver's seat obviously) - You should be able to relocate the end of this wire back into the correct place to lock the cap again. If it feels loose you could try packing out the end with something.

as above - fairly common Fabia prob. I used a couple of cable ties to secure the cable collar (inside the boot, under the factory insulation), so this little problem should never happen again.....

Good luck!
