Main advantage is that it distributes the water more evenly over a large area of the windscreen.

Unfortunately the main disadvantage of this is that until the wipers kick in you might as well have a frosted glass windscreen!

plus it means you can't get a pin or needle out and "aim" the spray if you have a particularly bad bit to shift. Mind you, if you're going to get a needle out, you may as well get out some glass cleaner instead.

I had problems with my Octy when I had it using Halfauds screen wash and it made the fan jet hit the underside of the bonnet and aim over the roof, quickly solved by changing back to VAG stuff, not very expensive and smells alot better.

I use the w5 concentrate from Lidl as well, and find it to be even better than the vag stuff, in fact its the best screenwash I have ever used, fairly gets rid of flies and grease.

you can adjust the height of the spray, found this out a month ago by accident whilst cleaning the car. If you hold the nossle you can push it up or down to change the aim.
