Think you get around 7.2 - atleast that is what Angel Tuning quote on their website.

I think Jabba Luke's and Star Performance's ones are up there too but it's hard to tell as none of them have been benchmarked on the same rollers at the same time :D Biggest problem with big bhp diesels is putting that power onto the road, which means 0-60 times are not significantly faster than just a remapped car with a decent clutch.

I guess if you're after serious performance, a 1.8T conversion makes more financial sense :D

Chris

ye jabba lukes has got to be up there

something like 247bhp and 430lb of torque isnt it

Luke's is technically faster as has done the 1/4 mile faster, but then I'm well out of practise, He's running lower bhp, but a fair bit more torque. I'll be pushing toward 300 soon.

My best officially timed 0-60 is 6.88, done via a 2nd gear launch on a drag strip. Mods are too numerous to mention. :o

Devon - When you add your nitrous system you and Luke should tandem up the strip at santa pod and show people DIESELS CAN FLY!

Steve

I think Jason already proved that a diesel can fly! It's the landing that hurts though

I'm a little surprised by that - I would have thought that with all that power you should be nearer the 6.00 - 6.50 - however I guess like you said, if you are out of practice it doesn't take much to knock half a second off your time. What were your times like starting from first and short shifting to second?

Try shifting a 1.3 ton FWD diesel to 60 quickly. :D It's tough. I need some damn wide tyres or something, as I just break traction in 1st and 2nd. I've not tried drag strip times starting in 1st - I really should have done to have a comparative.

Yeah, I imagine the wheel spin is pretty hard to control on that, maybe you could add some 4x4 to your Fabia:rofl:

not sue about 0-60mph but to 60foot mine is really quick (for a fwd) 1.9 to 60 foot is about compartible to most FQ serise evos and the 22B scoob

I agree with this one Jase, its gotta be done  YouTube

There is an Audi about with 300+bhp using the 2.0 PD TDi engine and its 4wheel drive.

that 260bhp was with nitrous not without it i think, not knocking you Luke but I'm confused as to how yours can reach the 60ft mark in teh same sort of time as an evo as they will launch like billy-o :D

Chris

Don't forget the 4 wheel drive ;)

i had an evo 6.

trust me. you wouldnt compete with the evo

As a slight thread hijack, one of the guys in our Scooby club had anti-lag and launch control fitted! Seeing that go off the line was something else

But Will thats an Audi, thats another league!! on top of Audi`s 4WD, its a completly different...

don't bother trying to tell people mate, it simply doens't work :)

you really need to own a 4wd turbo to understand.

I'd love to have a spin in DevonMikeyBoy's car tbh, 4x4, highly tuned derv.

That said a petrol would be good too :D

mike's car must go some off the line :D

Yeah plus IIRC it revs up to 5.5k

That said, petrol would eventually still win as you still cant buy a gear-based torque limiter on dervs, which you'd need to get the best traction overall. Seen one of a petrol Seat that was highly tuned, and it made it possible to tune it much more aggressively but keep it usable in the lower gears :)
