Idiots trash a Lotus

These idiots think its funny to do this...

YouTube - Lotus Elise Trashed

Unfortunately for them, some clever detective work on Pistonheads has identified them as Scott Hobson, Danny Worby and Adam Smith.

They have also discovered where they work, and have emailed their employers and reported all evidence to the police (they posted the videos and pics on their myspace/facebook accounts).

Something tells me they will be lying low for a long time now that their faces are appearing on loads of car forums!!

The original thread got taken offline by PH moderators some time on Sunday, once the names of some of the guys were being posted together with threats of what people would like to do to them.

There is another thread - MOVED: does this car belong to anyone here¬!? - which mainly contains bitching about the moderation on PH, together with a few bannings!

More up to date information seems to be on a Facebook group - Facebook | Login. You might have to wait to be approved though.

It is appalling what they do but I was expecting to see the car being smashed up or something.

Yes, looking at those comments on youtube,

it's a sad state of affairs that trashing someone elses property,

is seen as less of a problem than re-posting a video of that crime,

without the criminals consent.

I'd imagine that although the car would be repairable,

the owner, will still lose out, loss of use, loss of excess, loss of no-claims,

higher premiums for next few years etc ...

Plus the intangibles like, being worried every time he parks it,

that's what really erodes your quality of life.
