Hi, Whilst attemting for the first time a D.I.Y oil change on my Octy 110 Tdi, i reached the stage of having removed the oil filter element, ( part number: 074 115 562. ) and then had to go off and answer the phone. Upon returning i am now unsure as to which way round the new filter should be in the housing, or can it only go one way. Can anyone please help. I know i should have paid more attention to the filters orientation. Is'nt hindsight a wonderful thing.

If it's the same as the Fabia vRS, one wnd of the filter should 'clip' onto the lid of the housing IIRC.
