Here's a picture of the control unit and LCD display connected to the adaptor harness, also one of the rear of the Quadlocks, they look fully populated including the Tel - & + wires and mute wire.

CJ - I'm sorry I've not been back earlier mate, been busy.

Right i've spent about 20 minutes looking at their website and various cr@ppy install instructions and to be honest I'm no clearer.

Here are my thoughts -

The two wires with the bullets are both live connections, one being perm live and one an ignition sensed. I suspect that the bullets are in place to give the ability to choose which goes into the Parrot unit. What I've been looking for is the pin assignment of the clear plastic plug into the unit.

So my best guess is -

Red - Perm Live

Blue - Ignition Sense (I would take this from the fuse box)

Black - Ground

Yellow - TeleMute

Whites - L&R Audio

Does that help at all?

I was emailing CJ, worse case senario with the Red & Blue if he has it the wrong way he won't get a Goodbye message when car is switched off, so he can swap them :)

His looks a much tidier kit that the ISO one I have.

Stu, many thanks for looking and getting me the info. I fitted the kit at the weekend using the new cable harness and it went perfectly. There was no need to use the ISO cable that Parrot supply with the kit. The only change on the cabling I had to make was the position of the MUTE connector/cable. My stereo is an Audience MP3 and the mute connection isn't where the none MP3 players are, its actually on the same connector as the TEL+ and - cables. Once I moved this (actually soldered it to a new crimp connector) it all worked fine. I fitted an inline fuse between the RED cable bullets and fitted one on the blue cable and wired it to a switched live position in the fusebox.

Folks, many thanks for all your advice and many thanks to GAFF for the pictures and advice he emailed me, much appreciated

A good result then. Nice one.

No doubt a learning experiance for you.

Yes Stu it was a bit, luckily our company cars are octy ii estates and one of them was fitted with a CK3100 Thursday last week. The installer did use the ISO cables plus an adaptor harness (different to mine) but at least I knew what I was going to tackle on my own car. I will be putting together a 'How To' guide coz like GAFF has said, someone else is bound to ask the same questions I have. Once again chaps, many thanks
