Does anyone recommend any decent locations for on the spur of a moment drive to? ive done things like Hayling, Brighton and nearby Motorway services. but was wondering where you lot recommend for a spur of the moment lets jump in the car and drive places..

Years ago, me and some mates were bored on a Saturday night so we got in the car filled up with petrol and set off to the new 7 bridge to have a look. Got all the way there and it was very foggy, stopped at the services the other side for a coffee then drove back never did see the bridge.

Another time drove up to North Norfolk for Fish and Chips, 5 hr round trip.

i drove all along tha A338 down to ringwood tonight, up towards M27, off crosscountry to Andover and back again, nice 47mpg due to traffic which i thought was impressive, quite a nice area to drive down Hampshire/Wiltshire area.

You should have given me a shout, mate - could have shown you some of the roads round here .... or maybe you found them from that pdf I managed 36mpg on my trip back from the West Country
