Another Problem

Featured Replies

So basically for cabs the reliability tables are turned upside down?

Strange isn't it, particularly with regards to Mercedes, all other reports suggest falling reliability, but we've never had any problems with them at all, except for an E270 that required a gearbox re-build at 120k, but then that was our fault as we'd been warned the manuals were weak!

so which cars are reliable ?

The ones I mentioned in my post.

sorry i just looked at the bottom paragraph.

The curse has striked again........... I have damaged a alloy due to a woman not giving me much room in a narrow road. Alloy is scratched anything I can help to hide the mark and how much for a new one?.

Basically, If a car can take the punishment we dish out to them, and still be reliable, then the chances are it'll never break down in personal use, currently reliable cabs are - Fords, Hyundias, Jaguars, Hondas, Mercedes and Audi's.

i can't believe you mention Ford in the reliable cabs, we get Mondeos in all the time with DMF/clutch problems , fuel system/injector problems

we've got a Mondeo diesel taxi in at the moment which is waiting for a fuel pump , its already had 4 injectors , i deffo wouldn't have one or any other current Ford diesel product

We dont generaly have any trouble with Fords at all?

With one exception, My ST TDCi is currently requiring 4 new injectors after the latest ecu update knackered them, however local Ford garage reckon the noise is acceptable and are refusing to replace them, or even do the Injector Fuel return/bleed off test thgat will prove I am correct!
