Although I have been a member of the site for some time this is my first post. The reason for this is that I do not yet own a Skoda. I am about to tale delivery of An Octavia Estate 2.0 TDI PD DSG five weeks late, on top of a quoted delivery time of 12 weeks. The quoted reason for the delay is a shortgae of DSG gearboxes. So not off to a good start.

Car arrived on Thursday and took delivery on Saturday. Just to give things an edge the postal strike meant that insurance documents did not arrive on time which required a bit of fancy footwork on the part of the dealer and ins company. But all's well that ends well.
