hi folks, adding this to an old thread to save starting a new one, how much do you think a car painter would take to paint and stick on the spoiler?

I contributed to another thread "FL Spoiler" (I think it was) where I confirmewd that a tailgate spoiler is still available for FL Combi as tailgate shape has not changed.

I also posted a question on there, whether it would be safe to get my spoiler, (I bought 18 months ago!!) painted against a paint code, in advance of getting the car, in respect of getting correct colour match.

If this is ok, can anyone tell me the code for "black magic"

I like the look & am thinking about getting one for my silver Vrs estate. But I have been told that any spoiler (however discrete) is one of the top mods that bother insurance companies. As it brings some attention to the car, to those in the know. So you have to declare it & pay extra as required. Is this true?

I suppose if the spoiler itself was nicked then you wouldnt claim for it, as cost is less than the excess!, but if the car was stolen & recovered, would they try tp wriggle out of paying some or all as you made the car more desireable?.
