Just put my order in for a new company car

Featured Replies

Looks I'll be about on this board a little more from now :) - car is:

Skoda Superb PD130 Comfort with 17inch "Solid" Alloys.

Can't wait to get it, but no idea how long I'll have to wait. Suppose it depends if there are any in stock around the UK.

Left it really late as I was going to opt out - lease on my current car (VW Passat) runs out on 19th May, so I'll probably have to keep that for a few more weeks.

Nice choice :D

I do like the Superb nice looking motor!! It is a motorway armchair :D Maybe when I am dennis's age I will get one but that is sooooooooooo far away

But wouldn't that be equivalent to me driving around now in a Ford Zephyr - which I don't! Respect!! :grumpy:

Very nice choice. What colour you gone for. Seen a sandy colour one the other day. very nice indeed.

jolly good choice

Is that your Superb??? It does look good

Like the wheels on the Superb in your Sig PetRaN! :)

1st choice is Titan Grey Metallic, 2nd choice Saraha Beige Metallic - which will be the sandy colour faboka vrs mentioned. Bit of a risk on the Titan Grey, as I've not seen one in the flesh. WOuld have gone for black, but the other half's car is black, and it's a right pain to keep clean.

Excellent choice,

The wheels really make the car

Can you sneak it to Jabba for a remap without the company minding, should give you 200 horsies under the bonnet

Titan Grey looks very nice in the flesh. Easier to keep clean than a black but still very imposing.

thx guyz

sportec mono/10 18' ..check out rear 255 tyres

the car, because of its size would really look good on 20' wheels...

but I live in Greece and over here the roads make 18' already a very tough descision..

check the huge gaps between wheels and car,

and the car has bilstein sprint/eibach suspension which is lower than stock..

any ideas to lower a bit but safely?

stuart, i have installed abt prog. along with k&n filter, n75j and splitfire plugs

i am interested though in ihi vfxx series, probably not the big vf34

you know anything about that and jabbasport?

(sorry for spoiling the topic kprm77, and be sure to chip your brand new car!!)

No probs. :D Wouldn't be able to chip it as it won't be my car - wouldn't this invalidate the warranty? :(

check the huge gaps between wheels and car,

You should see the gaps on my Passat - which only has 15 inch alloys!

What spec is your car (Engine / Trim)?

the warranty remains from houses like abt or mtm for sure on your car.

the engine is awt 1.8t.. pls explain what trim means

  • Author

trim - i.e. Comfort / Elegance / ....?

oh, i see

the middle one...

with roof but without the fake woody stuff

Congrats ,

Personly I think that Sahara Beige is one of the best colours if not the best, and in my opinion I think Tital Grey does not look good on the Superb its a bit dark and would be low down on my choice. There are some nice VW and Audi greys but in my mind this isn't one of them. I would try and see one as you may regret it. However colours a personal thing and you may well love it so thats all that matters. I have seen all colours in the flesh at the factory and not just in the brochure by the way. I have a mystery blue 2.8v6 Elegance Auto with "Solid Alloys"

Mine was Nightfire blue and looked great when clean but it showed up all the marks/scratches. I found the steering had a bit of an odd feel and never got used to it.

Steve

My wife wanted the Mystery Blue, but when it wasnt sunny she hated it. As for the Titan Grey..reminds me of primer.

I still think the Dark Metallic Blue offers and exudes luxury on the Superb, it was just a shame I opted to stick with the standard 16" allys instead of the 17" upgrade...although with my wifes driving I did the best thing.

Going back to colour, each to his own and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I mean, someone on these boards even likes and has a Dynamic blue car.. ;)

Will Dynamic poo er I mean Blue bashing ever end???????????????????????????????????????

We hope not

LOL I was trying to be tactful, spot on description , however its is as you say a personal thing.

Totally agree on the Titan Grey - unfortunately.

I think darker colours look better on a large car - although silver usually works, but silver is too common - probably because it doesn't look filthy when it actually is, which would be handy since I live on the bleedin motorway.

Vince

That is a fantastic looking car PetRan do you have any more pictures as i could do with a decent desktop

PatRaN :- Who's is the Renault 5 Turbo next to your car in the pic's you have posted. It looks very nice. BTW still got mine up for sale if anybody is interested.

Know what you mean about silver - most Superbs I've seen have been silver. I'll try to get a look at a Titan Grey Superb in the flesh, but it's hard to see a Superb in the flesh, let alone one in a particular colour. I'll see what Farmer's Leicester have got.

Since I've decided to go for a Superb, I've been keeping an eye out for them. Bear in mind I work in Leicester, and drive 17 miles to home, and 17 back, I've not seen one yet. Did see one at the weekend before my decision - it turned in front of me and I initially thought it was an Audi A6.

Are there any colours to avoid as far as resale value goes? (I'll probably buy the car at the end of the lease - as I'm doing with the Passat).
