Is this a possible hint at the new Fabia vRS?

Featured Replies

Apparently called the S2000....280bhp from a 2.0l engine...hope the mk2 vRS looks anything like this, pretty cool me thinks!

Given the look and stance alone i think a few on here would be drooling by now! Power at 280 in such a small chassis plus FWD could be a bit of a handfull......Still, looks nice....

Old news mate the S2000 rally car.

The VRS will look nowt like that i can assure you.

It wont be 4wd either, the S2000 is built for the WRC, and BRC rounds (hopefully).

how old?

2-3 months.

The new 2008 vRS might share the same front/rear bumper as the S2000 but scaled down slightly but thats probably where the similarities will end.

Nar, i dont think it will.

I think the new sport bumper spoilers that they have just launched hold a few ideas towards the VRS...

I hope anyway!

I saw that photo at my local Skoda garage the other week. I must say it does look fricking good.

Checked out autocar mag today and they list future forthcomming cars and the only fabis mentioed is the estate next rear.

Not even noted for early 2009. :(

Thread around on here that the UK was the only country with strong Fabia vRS sales ( 20% of all Fabia Mk1 ), so it may not even come.

I have been informed from a Skoda man that if they make a VRS FABIA II it wont be out untill 2010 as there is no demand for it in other european contries as were the only ones who bought the last VRS.

Just what i had heard

Thats if they make it at all - suposedly!!

All I can say is Citroen C2 VTS

Auto Express list Fabia II vRS as 2008 (look in sports cars and cabriolets)

Yes maybe but the guy at the Skoda garage said he had inside info its not going to be out until 2010 (at least or if at all)

inside info = having a guess.

everywhere is saying spring 2008 but knowing the industry expect it later. things very rarely come out when said im going for late summer early autum release.

Directly from Auto Express - Car Reviews – Car News – New & Used Cars Review - Car Magazine....

Regular models hit showrooms in May, but the performance version won't arrive until 2008. The previous rally variant previewed the original vRS's features, so when the new hot model arrives, we can expect to see details such as the S2000's front bumper and rear spoiler. The bonnet vents and exten*ded arches may also make production.

ugly mofo, but I want the wheels....

Whatcar? magazine says its due spring 2008. there are sum pics sumwhere of vrs on sum czeq website

Bleughh! If I wanted bonnet vents, I'd buy an XR3 :thumbdwn:

Don't worry, they won't, just Autoexpress - if they say "may" they won't technically be wrong even if it doesn't and it pads out the article nicely ;)

Guys i can confirm that us at Skoda dealers have been told there will be NO Fabia vRS in 2008.. Thats all thats been confirmed so far :(

2008 and beyond if my sources are correct.

Whilst the vRS is popular in the UK it isn't a big hit in the rest of Europe.

i just hope it looks similar to that picture, thats the only picture of a mk 2 that i could see myself owning.

"Apparently"....they cant get a suitable freindship between car and engine!

Cara , whats a dealers perspective on this? Are you worried about losing potential sales to other marques without a vRS?
