312mm brake kit

The Lucas calipers as fitted to the vRS as standard use a different caliper mounting, they secure by two 13mm bolts.

The ATE calipers are secured by the more common 7mm allen key sliders.

Although the whole assembley can be swapped over the calipers are not interchangeable.

Go on, really show off...

Sorry, I ought to recognize. I fit them on the disk and on the carrier, but don´t thought about this (displacement).:thumbdwn:

And I´m too slow to reply, when I do, threre is a lot of new posts. Some important as your photos.

Thank you for your patient

Cheersss

As far as I'm aware, Golf Turbo's kit included;

Discs

Pads

Callipers

Carriers

Brake hoses (longer ones from the TT but not stricly neccessary)

So I guess this is what we would need for a conversion.

Do you mean get him to do them at trade for you or for other interested Briskoda members too? :jab: :P

Thanks

I'll get onto Davieboy and see what he can do!

I have an account with them anyway so, depending on price, I would do the same deal to Briskoda members! If they slipped me a deep sea diver for my trouble too ;)

Might as well share the wealth and save everyone else some money too :P

Steve

www.vagparts.co.uk do the carriers with new guide pins etc for £97.84+VAT = £114.96.

There are several cars that use the same calipers, the PD130/150 Golfs, Passat PD130 ;) Octavia Elegance etc all just need the carriers and disks to upgrade.

The Fabia vRS, as already stated, uses a different caliper and is therefore NOT compatible.

:)

Sorry I haven't been about for a while. I might have some news in 3-4 weeks!

:thumbup:Keep us updated mate:thumbup:

just sorting out prices now but it appears i can sort out either brand new or used kits,ie everything you need to carry out the conversion,i can also source the 323mm brembo's again new or used, should have all the prices by next week so all the sourcing problems should be over:thumbup:

Excellent news, i'm in dire need of new disks and pads, still on my originals after 64k!! Hoping to upgrade to the 312's but as you all know golfturbo has run out, but fingers crossed for the next couple weeks :-)

the brembo's require a 17"wheel and spacing out,the biggest you can get on a 16" is the 312mm

Cheers dude!

Piccie of brembos inside a 17" wheel. :)

:fence3d:

Cheers

been through every braekers i deal with and the guy who promised me kits by the shedload can't get them.

I can get the 323mm brembo's but only brand new,the whole kit price is just over £800,which is a bit of an ouch,or £1600 with the two piece disks, but for now the 312's seem a rare find,i may be selling mine soon as i am tempted by the brembo's,i think jase paid about £500 second hand for these brakes:D

You will need bigger wheels, at least 17", infact you may need spacers with some 17"s.

yep,17"'s with 15mm spacers will be required:thumbup:
