just been reversing my fun at night and the reversing lights are crap (excuses,excuses)...have whacked the rear plastic bumper,cracked it and scraped it.....is this something a body shop can sort out? i dont think i would be able to do it nicely...

It's worth getting a couple of quotes as they will be free anyway.

When someone drove into the back of my GT4(Only had a small crack in the bumper) I had quotes form £130 - £600 so it's worth shopping around if you have to pay for it

Maybe give ebay a go... see if theres any bumpers going??? Maybe a lot easier too.... and then get a reverse parking sensor kit off ebay too!!! lol

fun bumpers are silly expensive, i think the front one is £500!!!!!

so yer, get some repair quotes.

if its a crack an a scuff they should be able to do a lil repair an plow the corner of the bumper in id say 200 tops

Body shop should be able to sort it out, when I damaged by front bumper after a low speed impact with a bollard (due to black ice) main dealer quoted £1,000 to put right.

Local independent repair shop sorted it for £160

thanks for the help and the reverse sensor thingy sounds like a great idea...i dont usually have any probs parking but i do find the fun has a lot of blind spots and there is that weird effect of having 2 windscreens behind you and then in the mirror seeing the road and lights that are in front! has any one else noticed this when you have the truckman top on and the rear seats in the 'open' position?

ive gor the same problem when reversing in my fun. try a couple of small LED lamps mounted under the rear bumper to illuminate the floor ,coupled to the reverse lamp

The bumper is fibreglass not plastic so is easy enough to repair.

just get a tin of paint and give it your best shot.
