Hello just joined having brought my first Skoda, its a Felicia Bohemia. Alloys, Leccy windows, CD player and so economical compared to our other machine, 4.0 Jeep Cherokee (Need it to pull the horse trailer so she tells me!!!) anyway enough of my problems. :rofl: Having had a good look round the Jabbasport web site need to start saving for a Fabia VRS me thinks :thumbup:

Is this the Dartmoor in the Far East because I swear it should be night time on the Dartmoor down my way. :P

Welcome. Where on the moor are you to? I used to live out Okehampton way, technically within DNP boundaries but have sinced move east by the sea. :) I also did Ten Tors back in '96 when it was cancelled due to ice/snow/gales/blizzards. :D

Thanks for making me welcome. Yeah I got the bug ok. Gotta get a Fabia :cool:. Just checked out the window your right it is dark so I must be in the west...but...if it was daylight it would be SUNNY :rofl:. I'm between Tavistock and Okehampton.

Was on Dartmoor last week - lovely weather and scenery. 1st trip down since 70s, and that was a down and back up in a lorry.

Was trying to find further signs for some burial site or other - couldn't spot any so carried on over to Tavistock, then Plymouth then back to caravan at Brixham.

Enjoyed the scenery though :thumbup:

You must be somewhere around Sourton / Mary tavy then? We have another member in Sourton who (last time I saw) owns a yellow octavia vRS. :cool:

Anony-mouse - you should have enquired of me. I know where most of the stone circles, etc are on the moor. Several not far to walk from a road/carpark.

Devonutopia, you guessed it Mary Tavy. I only moved down about five years ago spent sometime in Tavistock, got remarried and moved to M T. Dont know to much about the stone circles yet but i'm learning more all the time. Married into a farming family and am told i'm not bad for an import :rofl: The yellow Octavia, would that be the one next to the odd pub in Sourton? (sorry, forgot the name of it) Are there many members down this way? I drive an artic to Southampton every day (which is ironic because thats home and i would'nt go back to live if you paid me) and see loads of Skodas.Maybe i should put a Tigger plate in my windscreen :cool:

Tigger 1979, thanks for the invite. Just had a quick look at the link, sounds good. Not sure if we can make it, think we've got a ball to go to sometime around then (well, its a chance to dress up i guess :thumbup:) I'll check with Bigbird we she comes in.

Pub just seems odd, all at angles and stuff. Allways seem to be flying past it on my way to somewhere else and never time to stop.

Like so much of the holiday it was spur of the moment stuff - hadn't intended to go to Dartmoor - and then thought, what the hell (glad we did).

But :thumbup: for the intent.

(Not sure what sort of looks we'd have got going around all the golfing greens asking for the nutter with the slightly-modded Fabby :P:D)
