Lummox's new run about

Featured Replies

Ok probably not what you would expect but I find myself kind of smiling when I drive the bleedin great barge.

Here is the spec

1995 Rover 600 Turbo

2.0 16v Turbo (200 bhp)

17" wheels

Half leather interior

Electric windows, sunroof, seats

Remote CDL

Alpine CD headunit

Stainless steel exhaust

Induction kit

Dump Valve ;)

Spare Engine ECU, interior parts and god knows what else in the boot

MOT and Tax until the end of the year.

Not bad for £300

Auction buy? Looks nice anyway.... Sure it's pleasant, for a rover. :D

A few more

Good cars and not slow.

I got it from a chap at work.

I can remember years and years ago trying to get Dad to buy a 623i. :o This was when the Rover 600 was a new model as well.... Must be 12 years+ ago. He ended up getting another Passat in the end though - maybe for the best?

Thought you had a Sinclair C5 in the boot from the thumbnail! :o:D

Nice car. And nippy.

looks in great condition. spare ecu. ripe for remapping... :D

I dont think i'd trust the rest of it on a remap..lol

is this the "family car" while the "concept car" is being worked on?:D

  • Author

The 'family' car is the Escort, but as the heater matrix has sprung a leak this is filling in.

looks ok Ross , certainly chuckawayable if it breaks , headgasket usually iirc

  • Author

I think the head gasket usually give up if other things are neglected. Its had regular coolant flushes and a new water pump which is usually the cause.

Great for the money :)

My Dad had one of these in the 90s I remember, a 623iS. Remember it being decent and fairly quick, so the turbo must go well!

Basically a Honda Accord after all...

Steve

It'll go faster if you clean the engine bay :)
