Porsche Turbo Badge

Featured Replies

Saw an audi TT the other day that was debadged. however on the rear in the place of where there are normally Audis 4 rings was a Turbo badge off a 911 turbo. It looked really smart. It got me wondering if it would look good on the back of my vRS Octy or do you reckon it would look Chav?? im talking in terms of removing the Octavia and vRS badge and possibly the skoda logo

Thoughts please

Cheers

Don't do it.

I would personally not. I think "turbo" badges look tacky on "ordinary" cars tbh. I've seen quite a few Porsche types on anything from base model Fiestas (hmm ) to Golfs to Audi A4's and I think they all look appalling.

Debadging with no replacement is much smarter IMO. Those who don't know anything about cars won't miss the badges and those that do will be curious as to what it actually is. I personally only ever detail bits on my car that the latter group will appreciate. ****'s tend to try and appeal to the former group . . . well, some strange and distant sector of that society anyway.

Don't do it.

:iagree:

De badging to me smells of I have a basic 318 company car as it's all my budget would go to but don't want you to know that, or am I only talking about BMW owners

Oi, stop generalizing!

My factory ordered 330ci was de-badged. I preferred the look (no wannabe M3 btw either!) plus its easier to keep that area clean - no dirt to lodge around the numbers.

At the end of the day, its entirely up to you, do what you want to! :)

I wasnt generalising its called sarcasm:P But be honest you asked for the debadge so that people would think you had an M3:rofl::rofl::rofl: (although those who know about cars would know it wasnt :P)

There's a black TT driving somewhere round South London with a W12 badge on the front.

What a pillock :thumbdwn:

Why not go the whole hog and have "Ripspeed motorsport" plastered across the top of the windscreen?

Porsche turbo badges belong in one place, on the back of a Porsche and not on a J reg escort or similar.

You need to be dead careful with car badges IMO.

On the subject of BMW bashing - sorry badging - I see quite a few debadged 520d's about. The single zorst is the giveaway folks ;)

Na, I'd have stuck an M3 badge on.... :P:rofl:

Carl:thumbup:

Its early! Well, going by what the dealer says.. Funny, didn't think to ask whether I could spec a de-badged Octy - thats one huge badge on the rear!

Why is he?

I would love to see that 6 litre W12 unit (with turbos obviously) under that TT bonnet

Next time I see i'll ask him to pop da bonnet.

I'd say go for it.

Will go well with the Mater and Wife sticker on windscreen and the big pink furry dice

Dstev - your avatar - is it a new way of drying your hair ? :D

It would be if I had long hair - which I don't.

More like a random one picked from a bunch of them

I'm sure I've seen pictures of a TT with two 3.2 V6 engines in.

That's sort of a W12, only in two bits. ;)
