Fuel Prices

Featured Replies

i took part in the M4 protest a few years ago and the police had to put the matrix on at 50mph with warnings of queues as the protest was causing traffic to back up.

Paid 105.9 for diesel earlier today. :( :thumbdwn: If anything does start to look a little dodgy on the protest front I'm going to be taking a 10 gallon jerry can to the pumps next time I go....

I paid 106.9 Yesterday and 105.9 today :thumbdwn::thumbdwn::thumbdwn:

I remember the last fuel protests, 2 of us had to syphon fuel from the vans at the office so we could function from one vehicle, just us 2 engineers to cover London, not good :thumbdwn:

blockade of central london would do it , cause we cant have the big city stopped

How would anyone notice the difference in traffic speeds?

dr zoidberg i take it you work either from home or in an office and dont drive for a living?

Jase, its the panic buying that caused the problems last time and invalidated many peoples insurance as in the small print of many you cannot store petrol at home and you can only carry 1 gallon in the car, im sure it was in my insurance small print.

I do between 25 and 30k a year commuting and doing my job actually.

The recent 10p a litre rises have meant an extra £250 a year in fuel costs

I think I saw derv at 120.9 this morning.

I was flashing past on the park and ride bus but it's a dear garage. I'll check again tonight.

Increasing 1p a day this week :(

Not so good and very annoying.

BTW you can keep a 5L plastic or a 10L metal jerry can full of petrol in the car. Derv doesn't have anywhere as near strict regulations on it. I remember posting it up somewhere on here before.

v-power at the shell in brighouse west yorkshire is just getting daft, last time i checked he was at 109.9 up from 108.9 the day before.

The other shell 1 mile down the road is 105.9, me no understand why such a difference?

It does seem mad, just reading this thread, at the start of it people were moaning about paying £1 a litre and by the end of it its up to £1.20!

I dont what the answer is i really dont :(

£1.20?

Where?

Normal garages by me are charging about £1.02 for unleaded and £1.08 for diesel and everywhere in the country I've been this month has been the same.

The expensive independent tiny garages are 5p a litre higher.

I was happy to have Tesco 99 at the same price as diesel today (£1.06.9)

Still far too expensive, but it's usually 4p more than derv

Diesel is 109.9 at my local sainsbury's

109.9 at my local stations too and has been for the last couple of weeks :(

Chris

Cream in the profits and blame tax.. Nice easy option ;)

Oh , next to the bus stop..... That makes it so much clearer.

Its ridiculous the price of fuel - luckily round here petrol is 99.9p - i m probably one of the only people to be able to say that on here!

I don't know what the government thinks its playing at - they keep taxing us to death!

I pay 108.9 at shell for derv

£1.20?

Where?

My local Shell Garage for V-Power

local Shell garage has dropped DERV to 105.9. Most other places seem to be about 107.9-110.9.

Shell haven't tried to pull a flanker by reducing their prices just before the announced record profits ?? (me cynical- never!!)

Was 102.9 at my Shell today and no cashback either on my Egg card £40.10 for a full tank too. Driving in the red otherwise.

Diesel was 108.9

Local Esso has has 95RON down to 98.9p.

Dundee Tesco and Sainsburys have Super at 104.9p
