The article is one on DIY uprated engine mounts - all engines have mounts designed to absorb vibration - PD or otherwise, so it's not really critical that the mount referred to was made was for a Nissan Pintera with a 2.4l petrol engine....

Mine is settling in bit by bit - want to have some serious mileage and do an inspection before I finally comment on it. The very first startup after fitting is a real shocker tho'! It's not too bad atm after about 250 kms on it only....

Having 30 deg C temps during the day here is probably helping it bed in....

Cheers

Im really interested in this. Really wanted the Jabba one but when i got in lukes car i though me fillings were going to fall out.

Watching with interest.

Seem to have got our wires crossed here mate, its the link to Ross-Tech I was referring to about idle speed adjustment, I've already tried this myself (have vibra tech mount) but couldnt get anywhere near 1k r/min.

The link you posted says NOT for PD engines???

Hope that makes sense now ;):D

hmm - I used the channel 1 and the rpm seems to have come up to just under 1K.

The other stuff (EGR adjustment) works fine....

Thanks for clarifying that, I'll have to try it again (or drill some holes!) (or get more power!) (or move somewhere hot!)

Sounds like yours is sorted, enjoy!

Its all good :D

well, after 750 kms (just shy of 500 miles) there is just barely some extra vibration now.

It is variable - find that it occasionally does cause the cabin to vibrate, even with the idle at 1,000 rpm but that is happening less and less (perhaps 1/10 times stopped at a light).

Temps now at 25 degrees - think this would be a good thing to do during the UK summertime....

Will get under the car to inspect how well the mount is holding up after another 250km or so.....

after a remapped ECU, revs went back to OEM 903rpm.

Went to engine module, block 2 and put in the highest number it'll take 32810 IIRC. Test, save - rpm rose to 945 - no cabin vibration what-so-ever.....

HTH anyone else with the uprated dogbone shake rattle and roll.....

Cheers

running perfectly now - you do need the rpm upped a tad, but vibes are minimal...
