1.9TDi Engine Bay Photo

Featured Replies

HI!

Just joined Briskoda & had to have My Engine Head replaced;

Is there anyone out there who has a picture of the Engine Bay of the (04 Reg) 1.9TDi Skoda Octavia?

Not sure now my car is fixed if it looks the same as it was before it went in.

Cheers

Ade

I don't but take a pic of yours and we can tell you if it looks normal :)

Let us know if it is a TDI 90 or TDI 110 or PD 130 engine :)

Cheers will do, but can't do that 'til I get home this PM.

I'll post it as soon as I can

Ade ;-)

Edited - totally missread your post.

I'm sure if you look in the menbers cars section there will be some engine bay pictures.

A quick Google has turned this up for the Mk1:

...and this for the Mk2:

(I don't remember exactly when the Mk2 Octy came in!)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for That, my car is obviously the mark 1 then, & it looks like they've missed out the covers on the engine cover bolts.

Thanks Again

Ade ;-)

Easy done; mine's been missing one of the embelishment pieces on the obsfurcation cover since I got it.

Been bought a thesaurus recently, Ken?

And it's "embellishment" and "obfuscation"! ;):D

Thanks for all your help even in my Mother Tongue.

I've managed to get permission from Skoda UK to take the shattered water pump from my car to wings of Peterborough to see if Skoda will contribue to the cost of my repairs (See my Hello! posting)

But on speaking to Paul Wing, his parting shot was......

Don't hold your breath!!

I'll keep you informed as to what the outcome is.
