Wheel tracking woes...

Featured Replies

Took my partners Peugoet 106 to National Tyres the other day for new front tyres and tracking adjustment. Tyres look good but the car pulls to the left same as before. I took it back the next day and they spent ages on it but it still pulls badly to the left.

I'm reluctant to take it back a third time becuase I suppose I don't really believe they are capable of doing it. Any ideas what to do now? Is it worth paying for a 4 wheel laser align jobbie on a 12 year old car?

Does it have power steering? because if it does it is possible that the rack has been adjusted only on one side, and as it tries to return to the central possition it will pull one way

Thanks but nope it doesn't have power steering.

Protyre. ;) One word. :D

They should sort it for £25 (using laser 4wa gear) :) When I get my new gearbox fitted, I need to drop my subframe and console to access the bushes, and to get the box out. There's only one place I trust enough to do an alignment check on it once it's put back together. Protyre have always got my car tracking true again following any work or an "encounter" with a kerb or similar. :D
