I get a really annoying nise when changing from 1st to 2nd especially when driving in a spirited manner. Does anyone else suffer from this and if so is there a cure? I dont like the gearbox at the best of times(not sporty enough) but hopefully a short shifter will help aid this. Thanks i advance for any help givven.

Just changed my gear oil to Motul, slightly better. This is the third type its had - none are totally right but this is the best so far. Its only done about 1500miles so may get better yet - or worse!

I heard that you cannot beat the vag gearbox oil but i suppose its personal preference
