Non smoker package

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'll be ordering my VRS tomorrow. There's an option of a non-smokers package which replaces the ash trays with storage spaces. What I'm not sure about is whether or not the lighter sockets are still provided. I won't need a lighter, but do want the 12V socket for mobile charger etc. Can someone that has ordered this confirm ?

Thanks

Hugh

I would imagine so but you'll get the accessory type cover instead.

id keep them in, ive taken my front ashtray out to make a bigger storage space and i need the cigarette socket for powering my gadgets.

I think that's the idea of the non-smokers pack - they replace the ashtray with a slightly larger storage area. I'm nearly sure you still get the lighter socket, but the dealer thought the last time they ordered one it came in with the space for the lighter socket blanked off. I've asked him to double check with Skoda when ordering.

Thanks

Hugh

Simple and straightforward solution for the front ashtray there!

That's odd - my L&K came with the non-smoker's pack as standard. If I had wanted it I would have had to specify a smoker's pack. Do Skoda think that VRS drivers are more likely to be smokers?

I would order the smokers pack if its free. As all they do, is remove the cigarette lighter, not the socket. And pull out the ash tray out the cubby hole!

On fords the non-smokers pack changes the ash tray to storage and replaces the pushy bit of the lighter socket with a plastic cover saying "12v".

The first thing I did was throw out the ciggie lighter and replace it with a rechargeable Touareg torch. I use the ashtray for my bluetooth phone.
