The Speed Run

Featured Replies

So, what did you get?

I was pulling through 140 (GPS) when i passed the chequered flag, and Panrix got 145 on the clock.

Anyone else?

Apparently whitelightning managed 178 gps, 185 on the clock.

Missed it due to socialising, grumble grumble .... :(

152 on the porsche

the black supra did 162

153mph gps Ibiza when I lifted.... then saw the flag further down! DOH!

off the clock such is the optimism in SEATs LOLNever done more than 160mph @ Brunters

5th gear 6100rpm, 178mph (GPS)

Next time we get the nitrious (enabling me to get there quicker and need less of a run up lol) and I will re-lower the car (you might have noticed that it was quite high).

I reckon a rolling start would make all the difference too.

Perhaps if they let us start before the turn into the back straight we'd have seen some really good speeds ;)

only got 130mph out of my furby the up hill start never helped

Gutted, i missed it due to needing more fuel :(

 I wussed out due to needless worrying about overboost turbo killing... I now kinda wish I'd partaken :( I may need some private test track work... ;)

A little over 130mph on the clock. Not bad, but could have done with a bit more road :D

...same here - 133. My Impreza indicated 145 last year ( a true 138 but not at the 'book speed'). It is always a shame that you can't take a run at it , but that is the way they do things (for safety's sake) at Bruntingthorpe.
