My heater sounds like a Lancaster Bomber

Featured Replies

Well, it's getting cold at the moment so, naturally, I turned the heater on today on full power to de-mist the 'screen. It sounds like a lancaster at take off speed, like there is something fouling the fan from the inside of the car, no differance from the outside. Any ideas? how could it be put right?

I had this same problem same time last year, as it was still under warranty I took it to the local dealer and they fixed the problem for me! No idea what was wrong with it, but just so you know you're not alone!

Less of a problem and more of a unique marketting opportunity. :)

mine only sounds like a spitfire;)

If that doesn't do it, you'll have to get the leaves out from INSIDE the fan. I did a how-to here.

HTH

Agreed, it's most likely leaves.....mine was. Took the glovebox off (dead easy) and fished them all out. Mine sounded like a V8 before.

mine has done it every winter I have owned it... every year upto now its been fixed by the dealer mostly after arguing about if it was covered or not... so this year I will be trying myself.
