Ever Increasing Fuel Consumption

Featured Replies

I used to get around 430-460 per tank and 90% of my driving is around town. That was in a standard vRS which had 13k on it we parted ways.

Needless to say I get slightly less now... but it's sooo worth it :D

Also car takes longer to warm up so runs richer for longer, using more fuel!

I was just about to say that!

I changed my air filter at just over 30k and it seemed to help. Check typre pressures are right too.

350 to a tank... and that's normal :(

I saw somewhere that extra electrics such lights and heaters in the winter reduce mpg by up to 4 mpg. Why?? If the engine is Turning, then shouldn't electricity be produce for the battery regardless of the requirement for it?

PS, have I really shown my ignorance now?

400 to a tank driving sensibly.

320-350 non sensibly. thats with a map. I would say thats ok, I think the tank should be bigger on them though lol

p.s. not every where has the same diesel prices
