would it be okay to lower with just the springs??

spent £400 on my old car lowering it on gas shocks etc but dont see the need using eibachs and only going 25mm,

Im not going to be doing any rally stages so my sump will be fine

No need for anything else, not even bump stops, 25mm springs is all you need friend!

Just ordered them off the Eibach website, there wasnt a buy it now as such on jabbasport, kindov need them asap!

U will be very happy man once fitted them, id advise the jabba ARB as well, had mine fit at the same time and it was like driving a different car!

how much it cost to get em fitted??

My mechanic charges £30 an hour?

So basically need him to fit my front 312 discs calipers etc, and my rear grooved and vented discs to and fit the springs

any idea on how many hours labour to do the above??

Did mine with the Jabba boys. Deffinately your best bet and they now have a laser wheel allignment machine....sells its self!

Yes i would like to go to jabba just too far away

star performance would be my closest tuner, but they want £300 to fit the springs (spring price included) and i would still have to get my calipers and discs fitted

what difference does fitting of the springs make to ride quality? Does it get a lot harder?

Makes it a bit firmer, but no way near unbareable like a type R and improves handling as the car wallows less around corners. Really to make the handling a lot better a Rear anti roll bar is needed as well.

Hi

We can do the Eibach springs delivered to your door cheaper £135 all in to your door

Any updates on this, ride quality etc as considering this on my vRS.

Eibachs are worth doing ;)

I personally prefer them combined with Koni FSDs having had Eibach's dampers as well, the Konis are vastly superior.

The stock dampers will work a bit harder as they are always a bit compressed.

As for cutting down the bump stops, I'd do it. If you dont and you have some rear passengers it will hit them and make the ride very harsh, it's dead easy to do, all you need to do is follow the excellent guide on Stu's site:

Fabia-vrs.com - Eibach -25mm Lowering Suspension

Just cut the original bump stop down by removing a section from the middle and glue back together with appropriate glue.

It reduced body roll and dive a fair bit, the Jabbasport rear ARB reduces roll much more still, but you were asking about the experience for this bit :)

Yep, cut down my bump stops. Also advises you on the instructions.

There still in my boot ha! :thumbdwn:

Just got to wait another 2k miles so i can get them fitted when i get the car serviced

I cant wait :D

I've got 17" mk1 Octy alloys on my Fabia vRS and like you I wasn't too sure about fitting Eibachs due to the potential negative effect on the ride comfort. However, now that I've fitted them I realise I needn't have worried - the ride is excellent.

A point to note, though: I found the ride quality immediately after fitting a bit iffy but once bedded-in properly (500 or so miles in my case) I was then able to fully appreciate not just the ride quality but the improvement in handling as well. BTW, I cut down the bump stops - 25mm both front and back.

There's an added bonus - car looks great when lowered 25mm. Members' cars section has many examples.

To complete the combination should have mentioned the tyres - Falken 452's.

That's the information I was looking for a long long time!

Thank you:thumbup:

Love our Eibachs - we have them on both our Ferbs - firm but perfectly comfortable! A real difference and awesome with the Jabba ARB :)
